The Unexpected Embellishment

I am going to start branching out into my line of bridal sashes, wrist wraps and chokers. I am so excited! Some of these will be suitable for all three functions (like the peacock one pictured below) but others will be strictly sashes. If you have a custom request I would love to hear about it. You can contact me at marieconrad@emicibridal.com.

The peacock brooch is removeable and measures about 3 inches. The double faced satin ribbon sash is 1 inch wide and 73 inches long. This can be used as a bridal belt, wrist wrap or choker. I love the drama of this piece and your guests will remember this one!

You can never have enough sparkle.

Recently I had the pleasure of making two of these gorgeous baskets for what I am sure will be a fabulous wedding. These are white silk taffeta baskets wrapped with the rhinestone design on the front and back. Pictures never do rhinestones justice and this is no exception. The sparkle on these is unbelievable. This had been one of my favorite custom orders that I have done.

Just a close up detail shot of the rhinestones design. When you hold this in person you let the light dance off the crystals and shoot rainbows everywhere. As the title of this post says, "You can never have enough sparkle."

Custom Order

This gorgeous yellow and green flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow set was created for a lovely customer of mine. She was able to find me in Modern Bride magazine and asked for me to create for her a yellow and green set. Here are the results!
The ring bearer pillow is constructed out of yellow dupioni silk with green double faced satin and sheer satin edged organza ribbon. The center is a beautiful bunch of yellow roses with green hydrangea accents.

The matching flower girl basket has a silk wrapped handle and the same flower and ribbons. Isn't is adorable. It is like portable sunshine!

I loved this combination so much that I created another piece to list in my Etsy shop. Here is the link .

Petites Bouchées

Recently I was contacted by Veronica at Petites Bouchées in Virginia and asked to create a peony cake topper for her. She is an extremely talented pastry chef who specializes in small sumptuous desserts such as Parisian-style macarons, cupcakes, tea cakes and cookies . You can learn more about these wonderful "little bites" at her website here. Or you can follow her along at her blog here.

For her cake topper she requested three jeweled peony flowers in a small bunch to add to the top of her gorgeous cake arrangements. I am so happy that I was able to see the final product of her wonderful creativity and also share it with my customers. Isn't this cupcake wedding cake such a pretty sight!

I can just imagine the elegant wedding that this could be a part of. Each guest would get their very own individually crafted decadent dessert. You simply must visit her website or blog to view all of her offerings.
