I decided to sell my gorgeous vintage rhinestone wreath brooch that I have been holding dear. It would be so much more magnificent as a bridal sash brooch, just look at it, waiting for a new life and purpose. Sometimes you need to know when to let things go.Saturday, October 31, 2009

MOOD BOARD
Here is a beautiful mood board sent to me by Peacock Invitations, maker of gorgeous peacock themed invites. Click here to visit the Etsy store. These mood boards are great ways to present a grouping of images designed to get your creativity flowing. There is such a wide variety of gorgeous details to add to your wedding that the possibilities are endless. Whether you do it yourself or choose from the work of other artists I think it really is these little special details that make your wedding stand out from the rest. And remember that it does not have to be big and complicated. Some of the most beautiful gatherings I have seen were simple small affairs with just a few well thought out accents framed by family and friends. It is your love that matters most of all. Have fun with it.

MORE NEW ITEMS
I plan on listing a lot of new items in different color combinations. Here are the most recent additions for your consideration. If you want to know more about a certain product you can click on the picture to be taken to the listing. Above is a ring bearer pillow that was inspired by the peacock wedding theme. It features a teal silk flower that is beaded with genuine freshwater pearls (love, love, love those) and a purple silk bow. Very bold indeed.
This amethyst silk rose is a slight departure from the regular silk rapture rose because I beaded it with freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and rhinestones. I really love this color and will be making some pillows and baskets that use it as well. This can be made into a brooch or hair clip.
The full silk bow ring bearer pillow in fuschia. Gorgeous. Need I say more?
This is one of my all time favorite design combinations. Mother of pearl, ostrich feathers and silk. This is a smaller sized ring bearer pillow that I made in an effort to provide the most variety to my customers. There are a lot more in this style family to come including baskets. I am so excited about these and can't wait for you to see them!
Last but not least we have this ultra romantic beaded flower ring bearer pillow. I combined french pink and champagne silks, pearls, velvet and floral ingredients to cook this up. Oh and I also used faceted crystal quartz beads to add a little more detail. This goes really well with a sash that I already have listed here. Friday, October 23, 2009
THANK YOU ROBIN!
Back in August I had the pleasure of working with Robin to create a one of a kind ring bearer pillow. It turned out fantastic but there is more on that later. Well, time goes by quickly and it seems like I was just working with her yesterday but here are the wedding pictures! She contacted me this week to let me know that her photographer Diana M. Lott had just posted these great pics on her blog. Diana was kind enough to give me permission to post them here also. Enjoy!

This one is very sweet, I love Robin's smile. Not to mention that incredible bouquet!
Oh boy I love their smiles also! These two are incredibly cute and full of sunshine.
Here is the ring bearer pillow expertly held by the ring bearer.

What a beautiful wedding. There are even more pictures to see at the photographer's blog. Click here to see them. Thank you so much Robin for sharing your special day with me. These pictures are amazing and they really showcase the love you two share. I am always honored to be able to create for such happy events and warm people like you. Thank you!Thursday, October 22, 2009
BRAND NEW THIS WEEK
I have a lot of new offerings this week to share so I had better get started! Click on the pictures to be taken to the product listing for more information. Going through my studio and looking at the massive amount of materials I have has sent me into serious design mode. Above you have a black silk taffeta and tulle petal rose. I centered this with a vintage rhinestone piece. You can have this made into a hair clip or a brooch. This is one of a kind.
Ah, here is a french silk damask ring bearer pillow that I backed in black silk taffeta. I wanted to take a little departure from the normal silks and satins. This is a little more masculine. I also topped it with a vintage abalone button. It is simple and I kept the other details plain to showcase this gorgeous fabric. Extremely limited numbers on this one.
Another one of a kind ring bearer pillow. The metal flower on this pillow was missing the center so I added my own. Anybody who knows my favorite design elements will not be suprised to see the carved mother of pearl rose. These two pieces seemed to love each other so who am I to keep them apart?Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Isn't that great! Thank you Elise for sending me this beautiful photo. I am so happy that I was able to be a small part of your celebration. Of course I also want to mention Sam Brosnan the talented photographer that took this gorgeous snapshot in time.

This is the flower that Elise chose for her hair. It is always so interesting to me when I see one detail brought as a component into a larger vision. Elise, you make this flower come to life. Thank you so much for sharing!

ETSY TREASURIES
Etsy has treasuries that are member curated galleries of their own personal picks. Etsy chooses from these treasuries to feature artists on the front page of the website. They are hard to snag but so much fun to put together if you are quick as a rabbit and lucky. Above is one of my favorite treasuries that I have been featured in. My silk satin rapture rose is in the bottom left corner. It was great when the curator emailed me to tell me about this.
Here is the one and only lonely treasury I have been able to create so far. I have tried to snag other ones but it is difficult. Lucky for me it made it to the front page of Etsy and I was thrilled to say the least!

This can be made into a brooch, hair clip or comb. Just let me know your preference and you got it! Click here to view the listing. Thank you!
