KENTUCKY BRIDE MAGAZINE

I am very pleased to say one of my flower girl baskets has been featured in the 2010 winter issue of Kentucky Bride magazine.

I had a lot of fun designing this piece. It consists of vintage carved mother of pearl discs that depict birds, ivory dupioni silk and of course could not resist trimmimg it in ostrich feathers. Thank you Kentucky Bride magazine!

STAFF PICK AT 1000 MARKETS!

I just received a nice email informing me that my champagne pearled flower has been chosen for the staff picks page on 1000 Markets!

Here is a perfectly pretty picture (say that three times fast) of one of my wonderful clients with the pearled champagne flower in her hair. I adore these customer photos.

The flower features hand cut silk chiffon petals, genuine freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and rhinestones. You can have it made into a brooch or a hair clip and it measures about 3 inches in diameter. For more information click here.

DESTINATION - VINTAGE NEW YORK

To have friends in the business of what you do is wonderful. I have had the pleasure of working with Melissa at Izzy Magazine recently and I can tell you that Melissa has a very keen eye. I always love the finds that she posts about on Facebook and Twitter. Izzy Magazine will be launching in February and I am really looking forward to that. It will be a feast for the eyes I am sure.

Just a little while ago Melissa sent me a message that she thought she might have spotted one of my rapture rose brooches on a purse in a blog layout and I should take a peek. I clicked on the link and sure enough it was one of my roses. So exciting! Anybody who creates loves to see their design being used by their client. I am so thrilled to have seen this and wanted to share it with you. I loved it so much I contacted the photographer Patricia at Patricia Kantzos Photography in New York and asked her if I can use the image for my marketing.

A BEAUTIFUL STORY

I was a recipient of a beautiful story during the last giveaway that I did. After Alison was announced the winner there was a comment left for her, it read:

My celadon silk dupioni sash appeared on the front page of Etsy this morning. It was a great start to the day! These sashes can be special ordered in different colors, lengths and fabrics.
