STYLE ME PRETTY PHOTO SHOOT

I am so super pleased to announce that the Style Me Pretty photo shoot featuring my hand cut silk blooms is up on Style Me Pretty. It was a joy to work closely with Brenda from Brenda's Wedding Blog, Cherin at Customized Wedding Creations and Marni at Creative Custom Card Boxes just to mention a few that are in this fabulous shoot. They are truly talented women and I am so glad that I have had the pleasure of being able to collaborate with them. The bouquet above was created by Monark Events using my chocolate silk taffeta bloom on the stems. Love it! I don't want to spoil it with too many pictures so please click here to see the entire post on Style Me Pretty!

RECENT DEPARTURES

Things are really busy here but I wanted to take a moment to share a couple things with you. Here are some recent departures from the Emici Bridal studio. Above is a sterling silver compote that is filled to the brim with Catala flowers! I adore this so much.

Brand new styles of flowers are coming! Chiffon petals will flutter in the breeze as they are backed by dupioni and ostrich feathers. Show stopping indeed!

This photo was recently taken to illustrate the size of a Catala bloom brooch and I just had to include it in this post. There is more that I can't show you yet... Please stay tuned!

THANK YOU STACY!

My wonderful client Stacy just shared this photo with me so I want to share it with all of you too. She has a custom freshwater pearl centered black silk taffeta rose sash. What a beautiful photo! xo

DAILY DOSE OF ADORABLE

The little attendants will steal the show! I had the chance to participate in a photo shoot by Solace Arts Photography that took place at the University of Washington recently. This shoot was featuring the Flower Girl Boutique's adorable dresses. I provided some little pearl centered silk Catala Flower brooches for accents on the sashes of the dresses. They are a fun way to add a pop of color. I am in love with these pictures! Thank you to Emily at Solace Arts and Jenn at the Flower Girl Boutique for having Emici Bridal be a part of this fun photo shoot!

BOUQUET RUNWAY DEBUT

I recently attended Urban Unveiled in Seattle. You may remember the Luly Blush Bouquet that I created for Luly Yang Couture. Well, I got the most wonderful suprise when she used it in the opening look for her fashion show at Urban Unveiled in Seattle. I had settled in for the parade of gorgeousness that was coming my way and the first model was carrying the Luly Blush! I am actually standing fairly close to the photographer so this is a good representation of what I got to see. Swoon worthy indeed! The show had a mix of several collections including pieces from her most recent Ocean.

Luly is amazing and her designs always inspire me. Here are a couple other shots from the fashion show. These photos were taken by Vivian Hsu from Team Photogenic. You can view all the shots from the event at the website until 1/16/11 by clicking here. So grab a glass of something nice and enjoy the fashion!

BLOOMS FOR THE HOME AND DESK

It was only a matter of time before I began to produce a pretty little line of blooms for the home and desk. The idea has been incubating for a while now and it is almost ready to hatch! These will be mini arrangements that are placed in pretty little containers. Perfect for a desk or table, they will never die and bring the beauty of these handmade silk blooms to everyday life!

COMPLETELY UNVEILED

So beyond thrilled to say that Emici Bridal was featured today on Weddings Unveiled blog. I was literally just looking though the last issue of the magazine and checking out the latest fashion spread online oohing and aahing the entire time. This is such a fabulous publication that is packed with some of the prettiest images I have seen. I am truly honored to be included! Click here to see the blog post and click here to see the new issue! You will love it!

This is a picture taken from the new Lady of the Manor fashion spread. I had horses growing up and these photos combine two worlds that are amazing! My love for horses and my love for fabulous wearable art. Could a girl get any happier? This is one of my favorite shoots ever.

THE GANG'S ALL HERE!

Here are the new ruffle ring pillows! Some got a little ruffle and some got a lot but I think that is the nature of design. You just go with it and see what comes up. All of these are one of a kind designs since the silk ruffles are hand dyed and placed.

Bold purple silk pillow for your rings. This striking color combo packs quite a dramatic punch.

Teal dupioni silk with the green to blue hand dyed ombre silk ruffle. The center boasts a pretty floral rhinestone design.

Larger than the teal pillow is this square lavender one. You can see the pretty color variance that you obtain with the dye process. Measures about 8 inches square.

The pink pillow from the original sneak peek. I don't know what it is about pink but it's always a color that I am drawn to. When I was a little girl I wanted a pink corvette and a pink house. That is probably when it all started. Luckily for my neighbors, I have grown out of those aspirations but the lure of pink still lingers on for me.

The classic champagne and ivory dupioni combo. This is one of the pillows that got more ruffle than others. I paired this pillow with a leaf and flower rhinestone design and also placed the ruffle across rather than diagonal. Hope you enjoy this mini collection! Leave a comment with your thoughts or let me know which one is your favorite!
