This is one of my personal pieces of jewelry and also one of my absolute favorites. The antique art nouveau style bronze medal is dated 1930 on the back. I found it online searching for "antique bronze lion" of all things. It was in France when I happened upon it then, you just have to love the internet and global marketplace options. I relate to the woman on this medal. She is feminine yet strong and a bit guarded. She turns away from her shield and reaches for an olive branch as a new day dawns behind her. I later found the stone necklace that it is attached to in a thrift store. It was exactly what I was looking for to complete my newest outward expression of me. This is one situation where I will gladly take the bronze medal.
